Recorded announcement device (RAD)

RAD is a device that automatically answers a line and then delivers a pre-recorded message. It is often used to inform a caller that they're in a queue and are to be dealt with as soon as possible. (for example Multimessage RAD).

This is a Network Service that enables a caller who's attempted a call to a number that is engaged to receive an alert by the network informing them when the number has become available for connection.
